I don't come here often, maybe once a year just to check out what people are talking about. There are a couple of topics on the forums I could drop bombshells on, but because of NDA's I must be silent. Well I guess this is it for this year....Everyone have a Happy New Year.

Are you from the Apogee Software team? Is it something about the Duke Nukem trilogy? If so, the team is dead silent from very loong time. Actually, since their DNT announcement...

Hopefully, this post won't be your wast for this year :crazy .

I'll be happy as long as the DS games are as good as the GBA game. :)

Apogee team = Yes.

An NDA wouldn't prevent me from talking about DNT.

the bombshells I was referring to were in regards to other high profile games mentioned on this particular forum as a whole.

Apogee was my favorite game company as a kid. So iconic and memorable, and the games were the best. It's nice to see it resurrected, but I'm still waiting to see you guys do something other than mobile ports and Duke Nukem titles.

Honestly, I would kill for a new Monster Bash game if it were true to the original.

I set standards based on what I know about the game. Right now I know more about most screensavers than any of these three games (which all have to be released before the end of the year, or risk being labeled obsolete).

This.
I'd like a multiplayer version of the original Duke Nukem trilogy, but that's unlikely to happen...

A friend and I started making a multiplayer fan game to play over LAN called "Apogee Brawl", and basically you could pick any classic Apogee character and play a nice sidescroller deathmatch. Everyone had their own unique powers and original sprites which led to a very interesting playing experience.

If Apogee made an official game similar to this, I would buy it in a heartbeat. :)
(As I would any Apogee games featuring their original characters. Seriously, PLEASE start bringing them back! We all miss Cosmo, Milo, Dash, Harry, Pocus-dude, and all the other classic Apogee characters.)

On a side note, I would love to see Tom Hall hired at the new Apogee company as the creative director, and maybe score the rights to Keen. That would be a dream come true! :)

I'm aware these ideas are a little far-fetched, but hey I can dream. :)

Could you find your attempts at the Apogee Brawl game? How far did you get?

Hall's with Romero's company these days, right? What are they up to anyway, still working on that MMO?

We literally just found that out last night. (or at least I did)

And @DHeadshot: Unfortunately I don't think much remains of the game.
We didn't make it too far into development. There was a Monster Bash level and I think a Commander Keen level, and maybe 4 or 5 characters. (Johnny Dash, Commander Keen (CK4), Duke Nukem (DN2), Hocus Pocus guy, and Snake Logan from BioMenace.

Last I heard Tom was with Kings Isle, and John is doing his MMO with Gazillion.
