I have a copy of Duke Nukem II but it won't work help me!

Hi I have a Duke Nukem II full version and every time a finish the first level of a Episode is says file_id.diz is missing or whatever and I could use some help or a new Duke Nukem II full version download so thanks!

Anyway, this sounds like the same "copy protection" used in Monster Bash. FILE_ID.DIZ files are usually not needed to run the programs, just like READ.ME or ORDER.DOC, so they're easily deleted by users.
This program however checks for this unneeded file to be there, and be the original. You'll need someone who owns this game.

to replace it, just like it's legal to use a nintendo rom if you happen to own the respective cartridge.

is that definitely true, VBB? I am just thinking of music where I think if you have a cassette or vinyl you are not permitted to digitize it and instead must purchase a digital version. Maybe it's different for old video games!

I was thinking the same thing! But different countries, different rules.

Aldi in Australia sell record and cassette players designed to digitise vinyl and cassettes, but it might, on a legal front, only be intended for converting self-recorded stuff. (Because everyone owns a record press.)

If you want to stay above board, I'd advise looking up local laws and so on.
