Captain Comic
Does anyone remember a pair of games starring Captain Comic(1988/1990)? If so, has anyone tried to mod these?

What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
It's like fighting terrorists, you kill one and another takes its place.
On the other hand when I was 6 I found i could get a million points on the first screen by hiding under a platform and shooting birds for hours.
We knew how to make our own entertainment back then.

Although I was never very good at it, Captain Comic fascinated me. The dark, unfriendly world and the weird enemies, sort of a similar atmosphere to some classic Duke and Keen 1 levels. It was also one of the first games I played when we first got a 386 in the early nineties, and having played it a lot less it still retains a lot of untarnished nostalgia.
One thing I remember about it was the bright outdoor area with a big door at the end, and in the background you could see another similar place. That was neat.
Went to play it on the Pandora the other day, but couldn't fire. Once this is figured out I'll get onto playing it through.

This will happen just after the sun becomes a cold, dark ball of ash.Commander Spleen wrote:Pressed K at the start to redefine the keys and it's all good again. \o/
Still such a great game. The scenery is as nifty as I remember, and the non-linear door exploration still intrigues me. Would love to make a Captain Comic mod/level pack one day.
