I save as MS Word (doc, not docx) from Open Office all the time! And from AbiWord! And WPS can even do docx!Levellass wrote:This is why Open Office can read but not save into Word formats. (Even the reading has annoyed some.)

If only people would stop buying into that strategy.
I have hated docx since becoming aware of its existence. The Vista + Office 2007 + docx era cemented my decision to cut Microsoft out of my life and that of others as much as possible (except for DOS of course, although I promote FreeDOS at every opportunity as well, although QuickBASIC 4lyf.)
