Here's the chart from the wiki.
The number of Skulltulas to defeat and the rewards:
Kill:
10 = Adult's Wallet: Holds up to 200 rupees.
20 = Stone of Agony: Rumbles when you run over secret holes. In the 3DS version, this is replaced by the Shard of Agony, which chimes and appears in the top-left corner of the top screen when near secret locations.
30 = Giant's Wallet: Holds up to 500 rupees.
40 = Ten Bombchus: A rare type of bomb that runs along the ground, and crawls up walls and ceilings.
50 = Heart Piece: One-fourth of a Heart Container.
100 = Huge Rupee: A huge, golden rupee worth 200 rupees. Each time you visit the man, he will give you another one, so effectively it is a limitless supply of rupees.

Commander Keen in... Canteloupe Quest!
and a measly heart Piece seems somewhat out of place for 50 when compared to a bigger wallet, secret hole detector etc... for previous rewards

My point was that there are fewer rupee wallet upgades/stone of agony etc... whereas you get quite a few heart containers, and it's not even a full one. I just think it would make more sense as a lower down prize (20 maybe?)tulip wrote:Well a heart piece in a zelda game is always beyond measure, since there's a limited amount of hearts and only if you find all of them will you have the full even amount of hearts.

Except the Stone of Agony was freaking pointless if you couldn't afford a Rumble Pak.

It's the same reason why people will tell you Super Mario World 2 was not so great and New Super Mario Bros is. It's not the quality of the game itself in terms of level and featuredesign. Once the popularity avalanche has started it won't be stopped, and it mercilessly runs over quality games. Mindless leagues of like-button-clickers will give it strength.
You crack me up little buddy!
