The only keen related easter egg will probably be dopefish, but they probably more than likely will reference the original id software founders.

I've played and recorded Romero's new level. Based on my impressions while playing it's a great level, and there's certainly an article about it on BBC news as well. For those of you interested in the article, you can read it here:

I thought the level was... average. I mean no disrespect to Romero, but if this was an anonymous map with no name on it, I wouldn't be able to tell it's by him. I'll say this... "average" is pretty darn good by doom map standards. Romero understands the importance of simplicity in map design. Too many mappers try to add too much stuff and make it too hard and/or superfluously cluttered. This is classic doom.
