I played around with PK hack once. Then my fat x-friend who looks suspisciously like Pokey said I had no life for hacking a video game and stopped :(

That didn't keep me away from Doom/Hexen though :dopefish

Like I said, he's my X-friend now, so I no longer care about his opinions :p
It's probably not just that. The mapping was weird when you had to know the hexadecimal co-ordinates of two spots to make an event happen, and the enormous script of all text in the game with its cryptic variables for names and items and pauses was scary, and I guess RPGs just aren't my kinda thing for modding even though I love EB and Pokemon so much :dopefish
If I ever finish making a game though, I really want it to capture the kind of feeling Earthbound gave. Definately not the same gameplay or genre, but the humor and emotional connections you can make to that game is pure genius.
