Do you have a source on this? I was of the impression it was separate technology.
No, I don't.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. :dopekeen

I mean a 'source citation', not 'source code'. Like so...

According to these, the pojects was indeed Ken's work and not based on Doom (except as some degree of inspiration):

(Even though Wikipedia doesn't count as a reference in most educational envionments ;) )

Oh sorry lol. Anyways yes the engine was written by him, but I think Galaxieretter meant that duke nukem 3d is like a more advanced doom since the gameplay is very similar. But nowadays, the doom engine is more powerful than the duke one. You can even put IRL pics and the game (Doom) will read them without reducing the quality (though obviously you need a computer with opengl support)

I don't think so. After all, he said:

Haha, you've never even heard of EDuke32 or the Duke Nukem hi-res pack, have you? :)
Wow look at me I'm lurking

But anyway, does anyone have a solution to my problem? It's really annoying.

I think that problem happened to me before. Though I usually save right before the cyberdemon part and the game doesn't crash.

EDuke32 is as powerful as the EDGE engine. In other words, it is not nearly as powerful as zdoom is.

- Warlord is no longer +BOSS, so it will do less rumor.
- New weapon: NUCLEAR MISSILE LAUNCHER! With that you can definitively kick some major asses!
- Plasma Rifle, BFG 9000 and BFG 10.000 dynamic lights are correct now.

here are some screenshots of the Nuclear Missile Launcher in action:

You can dismember a cyberdemon with two rockets of this weapon.

Done already. If he put the Nuclear Missile Launcher on realm667 it means he agrees to give it for free use for anyone who wants to use it. Or else, I doubt he would have uploaded that there...
