Ok go to this level:

While I was on my go, I've found this bug: wall climbing!

Ok, this is the place where the game quits. Try jumping with pogo around this area. I'm playing on window mode. Actually, I found that it crashes even without using the pogo (right after taking a screenshot or just switch the application and wait and see).

Thank you very much!

Now I've stepped into your both bugs! It will take little time, but I put my hands on, and I have found more bugs related to joysticks.

Good job!

Also a little off-topic: Iv4n, have you made levels to this game called Pekka kana? I found your name there.

There is a new update!

Version 0.2.5.2. Enjoy it and continue sending me feedbacks.

- I've implemented an analog-joytick switch. You can turn it off if you don't like that.
- Menus can be controlled by the joystick
- fixed some tile bugs
- fixed some memory leaks

@Iv4n: Did you check the scale2x with filter effect?

getstrong: Yes, but I prefer to play without it.

Congratulations! No crashes so far :). I believe now I can finish Keen 3 from start to the end. But still, the hardest levels remain.

As for the joystick, It's a bit better, but it's still no use for me as the d-pad didn't work.

Tile bug with this zapper:

I'm sorry for that, because I'm working on that feature. Better graphics.
It is just the scale3x filter, but this time you can change dynamically the resolution. In the next my goal is to support higher resolutions. Of course you will have the feature to switch it off.

Here goes my preview. Take a close look at the lollypops

Stay tuned.

@Iv4n: I'm sorry that the d-pad didn't work. I would like to know if it uses axis too, or just are buttons. I tried more joysticks, and they work very well.

Tile Bug? Do you mean the fact that there is no shadow? It is equal in the original as far as I remember. Should I really try to change this? I don't think this object has a mask in the original keen data. What do you think? I must admit that it looks a bit ugly...

The bigger resolution, the better.

It's a foreground tile and the gray background stays in front of Keen too.

I don't know about axis. I may check that later...

It is equal to the original Keen3. Sorry I won't fix it for now. Maybe later. I want to replicate the original game for now and there are bugs that have to be fixed first.

@Iv4n: I hope it really doesn't crash again. If it does, let me know. I have a tool which can detect memory leaks (segmentation faults). Those are the most common crashes in a program

The first unofficial Keen related thing I've tried in close to 5 years. Very cool! I prefer a pixelated screen zoom though. It feels better, especially if it could go full-screen and fill the screen regardless of resolution--except widescreens obviously. Any plans to expand to keens 4-6 or dreams?

Look. Expansion to Keen 4-6 is planned, but still will take time.

I'm working hardly on the source to get a much better version. It still will take some time as I told, but you are going to like the features a lot, I promise.
