Thanks a lot guys, now we have material.
I want to take both of them. I got already permissions of the artist for the first one. However I like the design a lot by DSL. It's really difficult to choose. Do you want to vote?
I also could take both and use the first one for bigger res (48x48 or more) and DSLs designs as smaller icon. However DSL design looks great at every size. It will be a difficult decision.

I didn't like the pink background of DSL`s one. He made it look like it's a CGA icon . Otherwise the perspective is simple and good. Yeah, maybe it's retro and stuff, but CG is also about transforming Keen into the modern age, so it can be played on modern os and pc's. Therefore I think retro icons aren't suitable for it.
Ofcourse, but i don't think it will be visible enough behind the letters.DaVince wrote:Very nice. Could the purple circle possibly be replaced with a yellow helmet?
Colour scheme is very simple to adjust if nessecary.
I think cyan and magenta works best togheter, and that's how i see the first keen games. It depends on what the creator of Commander Genious thinks about the creation.
Some variations, perhaps easier on the eye
white darkBlue lightBlue softMagenta
(Just let me re-render the logo if you decide wich one you want, because i only changed colours with Photoshop and you can see some aliasing at the edges (ugly rough edges.))

It looks even more beautiful than I imagined! *sheds a tear*
It wouldn't mess up any more than the first one might. What I was suggesting was applying shading like in the Keen 4 title screen (see it here), and this is what DSL was saying would be too messy. </clarification>gerstrong wrote:The second also beautiful, but it would mess up, as you say.
