Very classy.

To me the magenta circle screams, "I was ripped from a game and my transparency information is being abused!". I agree with the helmet sentiment, but it'd be a bit more difficult to scale.

Thanks a lot guys, now we have material.

I want to take both of them. I got already permissions of the artist for the first one. However I like the design a lot by DSL. It's really difficult to choose. Do you want to vote?

I also could take both and use the first one for bigger res (48x48 or more) and DSLs designs as smaller icon. However DSL design looks great at every size. It will be a difficult decision.

I didn't like the pink background of DSL`s one. He made it look like it's a CGA icon :crazy . Otherwise the perspective is simple and good. Yeah, maybe it's retro and stuff, but CG is also about transforming Keen into the modern age, so it can be played on modern os and pc's. Therefore I think retro icons aren't suitable for it.

Ofcourse, but i don't think it will be visible enough behind the letters.
Colour scheme is very simple to adjust if nessecary.
I think cyan and magenta works best togheter, and that's how i see the first keen games. It depends on what the creator of Commander Genious thinks about the creation.

Some variations, perhaps easier on the eye

(Just let me re-render the logo if you decide wich one you want, because i only changed colours with Photoshop and you can see some aliasing at the edges (ugly rough edges.))

lightBlue

Additional words in this white box are additional:

It would look very tasty if it used the highlighting style of the Keen 4 title screen heading.

Also, I think the letters look better with one yellow and one green.

Light blue definitely. Though imo without any background circles would be the best.

I like the lightblue one. It's not very agressive and fits well to the logo.

A clean re-render of the light blue one.

As of request by our Commander Spleen ;)

Keen4-styled font would create too much mess with smaller icons i think.
And CG is keen123 anyway right?

I like the first more. The second also beautiful, but it would mess up, as you say.

Keen123 are supported, but we want the support of 456. So in future it will be.

It looks even more beautiful than I imagined! *sheds a tear*

It wouldn't mess up any more than the first one might. What I was suggesting was applying shading like in the Keen 4 title screen (see it here), and this is what DSL was saying would be too messy. </clarification>

I'd say lets go with the blue letters. The yellow and green ones look a bit like they don't belong together.

I second that. Plus, I think this icon fits Keen 1-3 quite well, but not that much Keen 4-9.
