Not that much has changed since version 3.2 but there is something, so let me tell what so far brings the 3.x series up to this point:
  • Added Support for Keen 1 version 1.34
  • Added Support for Keen 6 version 1.50
  • New Engine with parallax scrolling feature
  • Added support for Cosmos the Cosmic Adventure
  • More collision fixes, especially relevant in Keen 2
  • Improved the Video engine a bit. Changing resolutions on the fly now works better
  • Fixed some ledge grabbing issues
  • Added option for showing/hiding achievements
  • Collision fixes
Other than that there have been some bug fixes mainly. I have created a nice promo video showing at what stage Commander Genius is:

You might wonder why so minor changes. Well there are other projects going on. Apart of my daily job I also became an Instructor for LinkedIn Learning and other platforms, so producing a lot of videos for that purpose.

I opened a YouTube channel where I will posting CG and other related stuff. Currently I am checking out some C++20 features and tested them using CMake. Also there is Steinzone, which basically is a brand where my doings are evolved around: https://steinzone.de

So yeah, not so much has happened, but I still work on Commander Genius, improve it here and there where I find the time. Also there have been a bunch of smaller improvements from other developers (through merge requests); Special thanks for their valuable changes they provided.

Let me know what you think about this release and feel free to report issues using the following page:

I am pretty sure you will find something to discuss.

Cheers!
Having fun developing stuff...
