I watched Chopping Mall (1986) with a buddy last night and it seemed to be a really good movie. It has some cheesy scenes.. but it only had a budget of $800,000 US.

Most of it was filmed at Sherman Oaks Galleria in Los Angeles, CA. I saw recent photos and it looks nothing like in the movie now. I also read that multiple movies were filmed there. It now serves as an office complex with 'some restaurants'.

Saw that movie back in my teens. Saw it one other time later on.

I watched Night of the Comet (1984) last night and really enjoyed it! Imagine a world with barely any people left! Was awesome.

I really liked it after watching it when my best friend came over for movie and pizza night - he brought it over to watch last night. So I have it on DVD now after he gave me a copy from his Blu-Ray edition it was included. :D

I watched Tourist Trap (1979) and it was a pretty good, frightening movie! How they got away with a PG rating.. I have no clue. :confused

I'm pretty sure I'll get around to that one and the second one eventually and maybe my pals will be up to watching them as well. The other night we saw Zombi 3 (1988) which is a Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei film and then the sequel After Death (1989) by Claudio Fragasso. I liked Zombi 3 the most.

I saw the first two. I don't think I've seen the third one.

Nightmare City (1980), English dubbed, directed by Umberto Lenzi. It was rather interesting! I don't know if those monsters were "zombies" or mutated murderers on rampages due to radiation exposure. Probably that.

Never heard of that one.

The Exorcist III, I finally got around to watching that one for the very 1st time. The Exorcist II: The Heretic was so awful I lost all interest in watching any other movies in this franchise. The Exorcist III wasn't as bad as most of the critics said it was, but it's nothing classic. The original is obviously a classic. I cringe at the thought of watching anything else in this franchise.

Watched "Requiem For A Dream" (1999) the other day, really well told story if rather bleak. Reputed to be almost unwatchable due to grimness, I didn't find it so which probably just demonstrates a degree of desensitisation.

A lot of people want happy endings, even in horror movies and Requiem's ending is pretty soul crushing, watching each one fall into permanent slaves to their addictions.
