I've been listening to FEX - Subways of Your Mind on repeat. "The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet", now finally identified and 3 more songs from the same band have been found as well. Pretty standard fare 80s New Wave kind of stuff but it's good.

Also:
Link Wray - s/t
Link Wray and the Raymen - Presenting Link Wray
Free - Fire And Water
Free - s/t
Chicken Shack - Imagination Lady

I'm pretty sure that this kind of music was heavily played in malls and public establishments across the country in its time.

Lots of Cream this past week. I've been reading Jack Bruce's biography and I'm just enamored with the man. He was such a good player and interesting character, a huge source of inspiration for me. Bought "Fresh Cream" on vinyl so I've been spinning that one a lot.

There's a 1980 record called "Plugged In" by an obscure Canadian band called Volts. I ran across two of their songs on youtube years ago and both have since been deleted but they've been firmly stuck inside my head on repeat all those years. Last year I found the vinyl and bought it, and only last week I was finally able to record it and upload it to youtube for posterity. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChdBXaXkWxo
It's new-wavey rock with an upbeat pop-like polish to it. Pretty cool find. I've been listening to it a whole lot since I'd been waiting for so long to finally hear the rest of the album. The record has a discogs entry but otherwise there's absolutely no trace of it online, you can't even google this band. :bloody

Been recently getting into Currents. Awesome metalcore band.
Specifically their albums "The Place I Feel Safest", "The Way it Ends", and their EP "I Let the Devil In".
"Inconceivable!"

A mallsoft/muzak mix that I have put together. Echo is incorporated in the tracks, I play the water fountain separately. There are three different mixes so far!

Oh, how I miss hearing this music in the malls! Now it's.. well, something else! bahh!

I'm into this type of ambience as well. Like you said, it's great stuff to put on in the background when you're trying to work.

I think this is the first time there was overlap in our playlists.

This song is off of Dehumanizer in 1992. This is Ronnie James Dio's 3 album with the band. This wasn't the first time we had an overlap. We have overlapped with Buckethead and A Perfect Circle once or twice before.

Edit 1/12: Lacuna Coil- Gravity
