In the meanwhile, BioMenace Remastered is still being updated. From Niko (yesterday):

Update 1.0.10 is now live on Steam and GOG!

Added a new bonus level by Roobar, new winter themed tiles for use in the level editor, and a few fixes.

Additionally, as of 9 days ago, the demo was updated to v2.5, bringing bug fixes and features added to the full version beforehand.
