Archaeological remains from when I translated Mortimer's McMessage

Post by Toomuchsparetime »

While visiting my parents I found a drawer full of old stuff from my childhood, including this hastily-copied and even more hastily-translated transcript of Mortimer's note at the end of The Armageddon Machine. Late 1994. And on a piece of ancient printer paper, too! This is a level of nostalgic authenticity that Hollywood can never manufacture ;)

Imgur is blocked in the UK now apparently! Part of the clampdown on dodgy content no doubt. Is it blocked in anyone else's country? Google tells me the same is true in Ireland. Might happen in Australia soon...

I'm sure your handiwork was wonderful!

Interesting. I just looked into this, from what I could find, Imgur blocked access to users in the UK starting on Sep. 30th last year when the Information Commissioner's Office launched an investigation of Imgur to examine how the platform handles children's personal information and age verification, which, if they find anything, could potentially result in a lawsuit.

For forum users in the UK and Ireland, here is a new link to the image:

Pretty cool that you found this, TSMT! It's always fascinating seeing how people solved this stuff in the days before full walkthroughs were available on the internet. There's a charm to homemade game tips created from scratch.

UK has fallen into starmer's dictatorship, policing social media and arresting for opinions and memes. Along many other things, starmer is the worst thing that could've happened to UK.

I think I've posted my 90s Keen personal related memorabilia?
Including
1. 1.2Mb diskettes with all Keen games (I actually paid my classmate to copy me...I wonder if those still work). Still have that person as a friend on facebook :)
2. Song dedicated to Keen based on "Go West" Pet Chop Boys music (you can see my english skills back then...and I thought back then I have great english :) LOL)
3. Cheat codes list.

Keen was one of the first computer games I'm met (along with "Golden Axe" for PC), and it was long before I had my own comp (and then immediately paid my 9-grade classmate to copy Keen to me).
My relatives in the kibbutz had it - with Keen 1 and Keen 4, sharewares....And when visiting them in summers - I was playing those games to death and feel in love with them to extend one cannot understand nowdays.
