Hyperspace Delivery Boy for PC

Post by DaVince »

Man, does anyone know where I can find this game? It certainly was a short-lived game, but I liked the demo so much I've wanted the full game ever since. However, Monkeystone's long gone, and the game wasn't available for me to purchase back when I found it. :(

So, anyone know where I can get this, legally or illegally if legal possibilities are nil?

I don't know where it is. I've never heard of it before. I wouldn't know where to look. I can't play it on a mac. My XP has no internet access. My XP may not have any real room for it. I may not be able to run it on my XP in its current condition. :dead

I searched it, though, and it looks interesting at the least. :)

Wow, seriously? I thought more people here would know about the game since it HAS been made by Monkeystone, that now failed company consisting of some old Apogee members (I believe?).

Heck, there's even a Dopefish cameo on dopefish.com...

Most importantly Tom Hall.

But no, I've never tried the game. :p Edit: And have no idea where you could get it, sorry. eBay?

There's an old demo for Linux available here:
http://www.linuxgamepublishing.com/info.php?id=17

I'm hesitant to buy the Linux version (if that is still possible on that site), though. Who knows it might break in the future, I would be stuck with a non-working version of a fun game.

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread :scary but have you ever thought about asking Tom Hall directly? I think his email is still tom@tomtomtom.com and he's more likely than anybody to know where you can find a PC version of HDB!.

The issue is actually very old (meaning I had been looking for the game long before and also after this thread), so no problem.

I hadn't even considered emailing him directly! Guess I'll do that then. :)

You still didn't find that ... game? You'd better don't waste your time with it.

I am curious. Now I want it.

What do you mean, "... game"? It was awesome and the demo always left me wanting more. Plus screenshots show an appearance of the Dopefish!

Warez sites show the PocketPC version only... Now that I actually have a PocketPC-compatible phone I guess it's not really a problem to try those, but I'd rather not for this particular game.

Still awaiting a response from Tom Hall.

I am aware of this game's existence simply because of the dopefish cameo mentioned on Dopefish.com. I don't even know what a PocketPC looks like. Looking at the title makes me think the concept is pretty similar to Futurama's premise... is it?

It's not just one device, or even something special. They're also called SmartPhones... Actually, any mobile device with a version of Windows CE will inevitably be a "Pocket PC". So any PDA with Windows CE will do (I think).

No clue (I don't watch Futurama), but there's a demo out there, try finding and playing that. :)

Sigh... No reply as of yet. I guess he's either really busy or skipped it somehow.
