Here is where to post about the latest Commander Keen fangame or modification you've finished, a new website you've made, or another Keen-related creation.

Hey guys! As a break from the exhausting 4 minutes' worth of work I've done on Keenweb,
I've decided to remix a Keen tune in a way that hasn't been done EVER BEFORE.
As if you couldn't have guessed from the subject up there, I've made a bluegrass dub of "Oasis" from Keen 4. I may do some other songs later, as well as clean up this one. But it's just a novelty thing to keep y'all interested.
I was going to use this as an April Fool's, but I couldn't see how...
Download the song at:

Hahaha, that was . . . actually a lot better than I was expecting! Certainly a unique remix.
Took me a while to figure out it was Oasis though, since I completely missed that line in your post. I was like 'Hrm, this kind of sounds familiar, maybe Kick in the Pants?. Nah...I wonder what it is."

An apple file? How do I play this?

I can play it alright. Have you got QuickTime installed?
Sounds good btw, shame it's so short!

An .aiff can be handled by a slew of programs, including iTunes, Quicktime, and I THINK, Windows Media Player. If anything, you can try opening it with your browser if it has Quicktime embedded.

MPlayer will pretty much solve all your codec problems, ever (except DRM-protected ones, but who does that anyway?
)

Or you can just use WinAmp.
Nice music there, shame about the file format. It's huuuuuuge. 40 seconds of music shouldn't be 5 mb.

I fixed it! I used iTunes to create an mp3 version. I changed the link up there, but for convenience, here it is:

If anybody wants to hear any other Keen music in bluegrass style (or another style), just post! I really have too much spare time for things like this.

Now we know what Keen would be like if Tom Hall was from Kentucky...

Haha, no I'm not.
No I'm not...
Actually, I was going to do the Ion Ventilation System music in big band style. Maybe I could do bluegrass too.

Well,
bluegrass isn't from Kentucky. You may be thinking of
THIS bluegrass.

Aaah an mp3 version. Much better. I had never heard of an AFIF file before.

Sad that the actual bluegrassy sounding part is so short.
