It's as much a part of his identity as the pogo stick.

Keen would have had skin color had they ever made a VGA Keen game.
I just don't like seeing white-skinned Keen in any environment other than a 16 color game.

Anyway, here's a round of EmotiKeen's I started on that I probably won't finish since it's clear that it's absolutely pointless. I hope someone finds some kind of use for them.

The point I was trying to make was that there is no need to stretch out Keen's head sprite from the Galaxy games, whenever there was full sized "EmotiKeen's" already made and used in the cutscenes.

I'm sure someone could do a better job making them more expressive and utilize this template better. Perhaps you could scale them down slightly as well to conform to the forums standards.

I like Paramultart's idea. I think it's a good compromise: it looks cleaner than the current emotikeens but is still "classic Keen" in that it uses original Keen art as the base. They'd need to be scaled down a tiny bit from their actual sizes is the one problem, as otherwise they'd be a tad to large, but other than that I think they would look pretty neat.

I'm glad you like 'em! Image

I'd love to finish the set if someone could find a use for them.

In my opinion, those are great but too large. Almost all casual emoticons used around the internet are the size of 24x24 or close to it.

I think this is the best option - both is better.

This is true. Should they be scaled down?

They're cool, but since I don't like emoticons in general, I don't care.

Those really are quite neat. As said, however, they are rather large and
break up multiline text Image
way too much.

LOL. Or you can just make your text bigger to compensate.

Like this?Image

Bah, nevermind. can't set the font higher than 29pt. Was a lazy idea anyway. It still puts big spaces in there also.

We could just replace the font with a larger SGA font, such as the one from Keen 3: Image
