I think it kind of needs to be that way, just to make things interesting. After all, how many could you really make using the original style pixel art? I will agree that it looks a little strange in places though, but I've really grown to like them.

That's pretty much my main reason for wanting them replaced. The retro look is fine, it's just that some aesthetic consistency would be nice.

It does look rather good but I still think the ones we're using look good. :) I guess there could be both, the new ones written like :n:D, the 'n' to tell they're newer... Or would it be too much? No idea.
