When did you first play Commander Keen?

I think it was probably 1994 for me. It was Keen 1. I was about 5-6 years old. I think the next one that I played was keen 4.

I have no idea, it was Keen 4 for sure, and it was somewhere in the mid- or late-1990s. I'd say 1996 or 97.

Sometime in 2001 when I was 3, we got an old 486 with Windows 3.1 and lots of games. Keen 6 demo was one of them and I loved it.

Keen 4, 1991. Keen 1-3 and 6 later that year. Keen 5, 1993. Keen Dreams... not really sure. 1996 at the latest. Possibly 1995.

Just a couple years ago, actually, when I got an old windows 3.1 at an auction... (The computer still runs great, by the way). Maybe I played Keen when I was younger, but it would have been at some friends house, and not many more times than once. I think I just barely missed the whole Keen craze, which is kinda a bummer.

For me it was right after it came out. We never bought games when I was a kid, so we downloaded all the shareware we could find and whatever my dad's coworkers would make a copy of.

For me, it was around 1996...Keen 4 was my first Keen game, followed by Keen 1...I played it for the first time at a friend's house. I also remember he had Keen Dreams, but I wasn't interested in that one at the time and didn't play it for the first time until last year. I tried 2 and 3 around '98 or so, as well as Keen 6 in there somewhere...I don't think I beat any of them prior to about 2002 though...I wasn't all that good when I was younger. :bloody

As in how old were we at the time? I would have been 5 in '96.

I was 9 when I first played Keen 1 in winter '90/91. And then shortly after that Keen 4 AND 5, which my kind uncle got back then. After that I think KeenDreams, then 2and3 and last Keen6. All must've been in about a year and a half's span, because in the end of 92 I was playing Dune 2 already.
