I know it's a reproduction. I'd be disappointed if someone sold me and original C64 $900.

It's not even that - it's a PC in a C64 case, running Ubuntu (with a C64 emulator that they'll post to you when they've actually written it). You could built one yourelf for under £100!

I'm a bit confused by the $250 model. It comes without a processor, motherboard, optical drive, RAM, and hdd? What exactly is in the package, an empty shell? There's no power supply either?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I guess that they're relying on selling to people who know nothing about computers.... ;)

you can now finally play Street Fighter 2 BluRay with that ultimate edition. :D
Like srsly.
Although I kinda like the idea, it looks pretty cool, basically a laptop you need an extra tft for.

That it's hardly ergonomic is my only real complaint.
As for the screen: most TVs have VGA in and the HDMI port is now in pretty much all new TVs, so it's back to the old days of the PC using the home TV.

Wait... wut?

And there isn't some kind of C64 emulator you could use instead of buying some fishy-looking empty box?
