I've talked to CKeen, and he's let me organize the tournament.

So, this is the topic in which you gotta register. If you will play say so in this topic. I'll add the names to this post as they accumulate. By the Monday after this Monday we will see how many have entered and go from there.

That's fine. As long as someone else can set up the server that's what matters.

We have three, so we're technically good to go. lol, more would be preferred.

What's the matter with it?

First, go into the dosbox settings and change ipx to be true, not false. Can you do that? Do you get stuck beyond that point, and if so where exactly?

Do not expect others to be using hamachi. Just keep that in mind.

I'm in - can't host directly, but works like a charm using Hamachi.
Unfortunately, I'm not too flexible when it comes to time, though - quite busy these days - therefore we'll have to fix the dates/times in advance.

By the way, if some contestants are willing to get Hamachi to fix their NetKeen problems, go for one of the earlier versions before Hamachi2. I am running 1.0.3.0 and it works very well. The problem with Hamachi2 is that it needs you to open ports, something that not everyone can (or, is willing to) do.

If not, then it's the regular directIP method. I should be able to join...

Scarlet, hosting isn't really a problem as long as you can get someone who can host to host for the match, then you can reduce the number of players to not include them, and proceed.

i.e.; Match: <Scarlet v. Ceilick>

Group: 3 nodes
GARGapplz <host>
Scarlet
Ceilick

<players = 2 >

Scarlet
Ceilick
<JOIN>

and then the host (in this case me) would not be playing.

It would work as long as you have one person that can host present.

EDIT: And if we (you) host the tourney on the Netkeen irc, then I'll pretty much be around any time we have matches, so I can be there as a host.

EDIT AGAIN: This is assuming that one of the other players does -server. Correct me if this wouldn't work.
