Indeed. I like how the book interacts with the player.
Btw, I had my first try with 1.8 this week (I'm late, I know ), and here's a few of the things I managed to craft. I also found a MASSIVE abandoned mine underground, it's enormous! I've explored it for hours, and still find shafts I haven't been in.
That reminds me, cave spiders are far more annoying than creepers. They only have to touch you, and your health drops into frigging half a heart (not instantly, but still)! They are much more agile, and climb to hide behind the supporting girders in the mine, only to drop onto you when you least expect it.
First is a tower/light-house sort of thing I built on top of a tall cliff. It's got a burning piece of netherrack on top, which looks quite nice on the evening. There's also automated wheat field, along with pumpkin (although I'll have to wait 'till 1.9 before these can actually be farmed), melon and reed fields down to the valley where the waterfall lands.
A picture from the top, showing the valley and the fields. That wooden structure is the water tank, which floods the wheat field when activated remotely. The water collects the wheat and transports it to a more handy pick-up location. Also, the ravine to the right houses a massive cave system, as big as the abandoned mine I talked about earlier
Another picture from the top.
I'm not sure if this was a bug, but after entering the Nether a couple of times from the same portal, another spawned right next to the one I originally came from. I swear it wasn't there before.
Note that I took this image before using the Painterly Pack, as seen in above screenshots.

KEENCRAFT!
Hey all. These Keen Minecraft things are great!
BTW, historical fact -- I recall deliberately mispelling that curse word spelled in platforms. Because people would assume the last letter, then d'oh!
Sorta like the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe and Everything being wrong, heh.

I don't know whether it would run on my machine - Classic only just runs. Anyone have enough experience to advise me?
I haven't made much Keen stuff recently - I've been too busy working on my full-size SKY CASTLE!!! (Insert maniacal laughter here...)
