This is probably something that should be asked at 3DRealms (or Moonlite Software, if you can get ahold of them), although I would think the standard proprietary software end-user license agreement would apply: Do not redistribute the paid version, do not reverse-engineer, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
There was something here, but my yorp ate it.

Unfortunately this is modifying the work (video, not playable game) and also you're profiting from it, which is against standard shareware rules. I wouldn't assume anything here - email everyone you possibly can and ask.

The really funny thing here is that Hocus Pocus was made in the time before games had EULA's.

License agreements started to appear around 1996-1997, and only for Windows games.

The safest thing to do would be to ask 3D Realms. They should have a legal department that deals with this kind of issues.

Right the EULA only started after the whole Game Genie lawsuit. That they weren't allowed to modify the game software. But they lost because the software belonged to the customer after it was purchased. So the EULA came about to fix that loophole.

Thus we can modmodmod.

Hold on, does that mean that all the Keen mods can have the original games bundled in? Or is there a rule against re-sale?
