However I'm not sure how the platform gameplay and controls will work, but that's another story.
Yes - that's another long story! I played Earthworm Jim on the iPhone, which had a nice touch-input, which allowed walking, jumping and shooting. Still, there are other complications like weapon select, pogo...
Anyway, it's possible, but not something I am willing to invest time in.
The soundtrack to the first half of Isis IIa is now complete! GameBird has done an amazing job creating some music that suits the game in terms of graphics and story progression. Since we are still a while off releasing the first episode of the game (the levels are approximately half complete), I thought it would be nice to show some sort of update. So, the soundtrack and a few screenshot "sneak peaks" have been uploaded onto GameBird's YouTube channel. Follow the links below:
Quick update - actually, there is no update! Progress is slow to non-existent.
As I initially wrote, this project was initiated merely to make the content of Isis II available, but since snowballed into a full on project, including the re-writing of the entire engine from scratch.
A lot of people have put up their hands to help, including some of the original team. Some of that help has materialised, for which I am very grateful. Some people have promised to help, and I haven't heard from in months.
As such, I'm going to unfortunately have to release this as-is. So, over the next month or so, I'll package up what we have. It should essentially be the first 9 (of 16) levels, all pretty much complete. It should still be fun to play, and perhaps with a bit more interest, there might be more motivation to complete it.
With any luck, over time it may get content added to it, and it still may be possible to have OSX and Linux releases - although not right away.
Anyway, expect something to be released within 1-2 months. hopefully before Christmas.
