commercials

Post by Scarlet »

So you know those awful commercial things?

Once or twice in a blue moon there is a good one, or a funny one.

May this topic be for those!

Scarlet: That one was clever.

thehackercat: Haha, I love the mayhem ones:

One of the best commercials I've seen and its sequel:

A classic Burger King commercial:

The absurdity of this one is awesome:

Netflix has a funny one as well:

Great thread topic BTW, I love the subject of marketing.
It varies on peoples tastes a lot. I personally am sick of marketing, but heck, some of it is entertaining, though I find that bit to be a small bit. I am not fond of some of the ones listed so far. They're witty perhaps, to some extent, so there is some appreciation from my side though. Some.

Here's another one that I liked... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUZbNzqYD54

I would ask people to refrain from spamming the topic. One person has done just that, and it was bad spam.

I've actually been excited to see commercials make it to TV, like Rhett & Link's stop-motion commercial, followed by a another one with MysteryGuitarMan. I used to watch those guys all the time on youtube, and when they told their fans to be on the lookout for their upcoming commercials, it's cool to see them on TV.
I also remember the time when my aunt told me about a Honda commercial. She actually drove on road before they removed the grooves. (The car is a bit tone-deaf.)
On another note, perhaps the most insane commercial I've ever come across is one you've probably seen before from Nutrigrain.

Interesting psychological experiment, or elaborate setup? Either way, entertaining.

Also I'm impressed by the passive-aggressiveness happening in here.

They see me double postin'
they hatin'

I found this rather amusing. It's not an ad per se, more a faux campaign at Shell Oil's expense: http://www.theage.com.au/technology/tec ... 22bpe.html

Also, Pedobear should not be used to market chocolate: http://www.smh.com.au/business/media-an ... 22byy.html
