Keen 6 Hungarian version/translation

Post by szemi »

And the last episode of the game is translated! :D

NOTICE:

At the creature question screen the video was cut due to copyright reasons (I hope you get what I mean). It was shown only in favour of the translation.

You're already breaking copyright by modifying and distributing the .exe file. Why would you worry about showing the creature question screen?

In Keen6hu.zip the Keen6hu.exe file installs the hungarian translation of Keen 6, which DOESN'T INCLUDE Keen6.exe but UNLZEXE (to decompress your OWN Keen6.exe.) :)

P.S. Keen6hu.exe was made with Install Creator. :)

And the demo video has already been removed.

My mistake. I didn't realize Keen6hu.exe was an installer.

No problem, man.

Anyway, demo video has been re-uploaded and this time I covered the creature question window.

(Note: That's a picture about the creature window only, not a clip I've cut or something.)

Is there some way for us non-Windows users to download play this game? :dead

Interesting question. How did you make the exe, szemi? Some of us have access to Mac os X and Linux and could convert/compile the source code to those systems.

So these are all packaged files the .exe is exporting? Maybe a .zip would be better.

Keen6hu.exe installs the hungarian translation of Keen 6.

... which is extracting files from the exe and replacing the existing ones in the keen 6 folder, yes?

It's like I upload a Keen mod in a zip file except Keen 6 hungarian translation has Keen6hu.zip, which contains Keen6hu.exe, which installs the files of the Keen 6 hungarian (mod) excluding the Keen6.exe.

I think all they meant is that it'll be good to have a ZIP with the same contents self-extracted by Keen6hu.exe, so the user doesn't have to be ready with Windows (or compatible) just for running the installer. You know, the same way a lot of kinds of software are offered as an installer plus a ZIP for "manual installation" (see e.g., Commander Genius for an example).
