Re: Question about Mortimer McMire's costume

Given blue denim like what Keen wears was very much the dominant denim colour in the early 90s, and still is now, I assume jeans = blue unless otherwise stated. Having said that, it's an assumption and nothing more.

Here's my attempt at it according to Tom Hall's words.

Ha! It's very likely because we both used Keen's original sprite to do the edit. ha I'm hoping that we could eventually come up with a final, accurate design for a planned mod according to how Tom Hall described him to look like.

Edit: I see where you're coming from now. It's a conspiracy alright! lol

I find it interesting how different we each interpret the shading of Black

I like your interpretation of the logo, of The Chicago Bears

Don't know much about American Football, so i Looked into this.
Chicago Bears, seem to wear Dark Blue with Orange while Green Bay Packers wear Green and Yellow
(when either isn't wearing white instead, possible for easy color differentiation from opposing team?)
makes one think Keen's big brother's shirt would be Green, doesn't it.
Based on both team's colors:

Szemi's qoute from Tom Hall "probably blue eyes."
It gives the notion that Mortimer is an evil twin of Keen, if it wasn't for Molly being the older sister of Mortimer.

It is more likely, that Mortimer is based on Keens design, it's our interpretation that he have angry eyebrows.
but without them and with a wrist-computer he looks pretty much like a palette swap of keen

I like your interpretation of black better, Zilem!

I see that the gray is supposed to still qualify as being a shade of black with lighting. The black lines stand out better that way. And the angry eyebrows definitely give him a unique look not so similar to Keen.

EDIT: my image link is no longer broken now, thankfully.

I also don't know: Is the letter C is white or white that is surrounded by red (as you know the Chicago helmet).

I asked Tom about it, but he didn't reply.
Yeah, piece of cake!

The Chicago Bears helmet thing is confusing to me, personally. Some of their helmets have a plain white "C" and some have a red or orange C with white around it.

Actually, I've seen that they have blue and black helmets, so it ranges I think.

I asked Tom about this and he finally answered it:

"Both their logos are obliterated by blast marks. (Really so that there wouldn’t be trademark violations.) Mortimer could have a GI logo in SGA..."
Yeah, piece of cake!

Interestingly, that's why I didn't make a complete C logo in my helmet design, because it really shouldn't be completely recognizable as logo.

Indeed. It looked like your image host was down, had exceeded bandwidth or DNS problems
at least it didn't last for the rest of 2017.

It's still the Holidays, where you spend time with family and loved once.
I was sure he would get on it to reply to you early in 2018, seems he found a spare minute for you ^^

well that is Clearly not "Chicago Bears", hmm... back to square 2
Hmm....

We are Talking Mortimer in Vorticon or in Galaxy?
Because i though we were talking Galaxy, but i get the feeling we are talking about Invasion of the Vorticons
makes me think i put up the wrong sprite(s) <.<;

It's Galaxy sprites that I've been working with at the present time. I think szemi is working with Vorticons sprites right now? Maybe we're talking about both. lol

That G.I. edit is pretty sweet looking!

For Invasion of the Vorticons, he might look something like this?

Well, I already designed it myself and it's black Chicago Helmet with white C on it, black T-shirt, blue jeans, blue eyes and black version of Keen's shoes (same as Keen's shoes, except it has black stripe).
Yeah, piece of cake!
