Re: Last movie you saw
Just happened to glance at this thread as it was recently revived... as it happens The Thin Man is the most recent movie I watched, as my Dad recently bought it for me on DVD. Felt compelled to pass comment.

Re: Last movie you saw
I don't remember what the last movie was that I watched (not much of a movie watcher), but the main one I remember from recent months was The Greatest Showman (2017). It's an okay movie overall, but the title theme "The Greatest Show" is possibly the best movie song I've heard

I saw Young Frankenstein yesterday. Yeah, it's kinda old, but I thought it was rather good, and it made me laugh several times!

Anyone order fried sauerkraut?
Great movie. Probably going to see it again just because it's so rare these days to see a well-made, long movie.

Re: Last movie you saw
to prepare myself for this very film I was watching "Once Upon A Time In America" by Sergio Leone once again. slow cuts, long shots, an eye for detail, emotion, pace and side stories... on the structural level a clear pioneer and obvious inspiration source for Tarantino, it seems. but of course there are hundreds and hundreds of other cross references to pop-culture and stuff one could spot. so it's definitely worth seeing it again.

I watched the Oscar's winner Korean movie Parasite and I loved it. Reminded me of a lot of people that I know

Highlander. Now the haggis discussion from the Keen Meets the Meats thread finally makes sense. Or at least a little sense.

I watched Bad Boys for Life a couple nights ago. It wasn't as good as the first two, but still an enjoyable addition to the series.
