Keen 8 all the way. The whole trilogy is brilliant, but Keen 8 is the only mod that actually convinces me that I'm playing an official Commander Keen title developed by ID Software in '91. :)

It also has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

This poll won't be fair for K7 until Ceilick (hopefully) releases the revision. I'd probably vote for K9 though; in my opinion K9 is more creative and has more depth than the others. Still, though, K8 (especially the desert setting) really impressed me and has a certain "official" feel to it.

Keen X :bloody

(I'd have to go with Keen 8 from the Ceilick trilogy, though.)

Keen 8 is the best, Paramultart's first comment was exactly right. It is just great, cool graphics...

I like keen 9, but I feel like it just isn't as good in the way that keen 5 pulled off the space station feel... still, the rest of the game is cool, and very fun.

Eros: Music isn't everything... Although, I think keen 8's music is better anyhow. :P

DITD is awesome.

EDIT: YAY, 400th post, and it's about the best mod ever.

Keen 9 would have to be my favorite. It definitely feels official to me and the music is superb (though Keen 8's may be a little bit better). Plus, it has the only level in a Galaxy game so far that I really cannot beat. Keen 8 is a very close second...it's really well done and fun to replay every once in a while. If Keen 7 does eventually get fixed up a little though, I think it may supplant Keen 8 in my rankings...at this point 7 feels like a mod where the other two feel much more official. With new music and a few redesigned elements though, Keen 7 could be vastly improved.
I'd like to get a Futurama mod going. Here's what I've got so far:

now with more experience, repatching TKoK would make it fit in that much better. i also didn't like how limited the music selection was in TKoK, the only one i thought was 'cool' was the worldmap one.

I have to agree with this... some (all) of the other songs were too loud or too quiet, and many made me want to quit playing...
