I'd play with this all day. Seriously, I know so little about Wolf3D modding that I had no clue you could make it look like this. Is that dynamic lighting? Anyway it looks fantastic, dark and moody like any good Batman game...the color scheme and lighting manages to remind me of NES Batman actually. Keep it up! :)

The niftyness of this is very much in evidence.

Thanks :)
Did you play the first part of the trilogy - "Batman vs. Bane"?

Yes, this mod take it up quite a notch....First part was a relatively fast mod with set deadline....this has no such thing.

Our coder's magic...LinuxWolf is probably flattered.
Indeed, not only you - noone knew before those pics :) That's why I'm so proud to post them.
Is that dynamic lighting?

I'd call it semi-dynamic...but I can't promice that's the definition.

Loved the NES Batman :) Flattered by comparison.
Thanks! :)

I am the lead coder on the project. I'm more than flattered by your response. We want to get this mod in your hands as soon as possible. Then you can play it to your heart's content.

Without going into too much detail, we use a global illumination algorithm for the bulk of the lighting and the rest is taken care of using a dynamic lighting process. The scene is rendered in true colour mode and the renderer is software-only.

Thank you for your input. We look forward making this mod the best it can be!

Please keep us posted. :)

On an unimportant and somewhat unrelated note, I think this should be moved to The Classics, since it's a mod of one.

So there's a prequel to this?

Well, it's a sequel to "Batman vs. Bane", and second part of a trilogy in work.

(you can delete (if you prefer) the external palette file to revert to original (more vibrant) Wolf3D palette)

Oh, man, don't overcomplicate it... :)

We don't do prequels. Only sequels.

This is planned as a trilogy.
1st part was released, 2nd is in work....
