After poking around in Mega Math Blaster last night (I have a Pentium-powered 1995 laptop also now.), I wanted to extract some of the animation frames, only to find that there isn't any info on the particular file type used for its resource files.
However, it seems to be a common-enough file format that one of my other file extractors (amazingly, for another game series entirely.) was able to pull the graphics and sounds from it without much trouble (except for a small glitch in one or two of the animation frames.)
If anyone wants to use these graphics in their mods, feel free to do so, but be warned, these are high-color BMPs, and will require manual modification to get them down to a decent 16-color look.

What, the info about the extractor? I never really considered that. (BTW, the resource extractor I used I never actually made. I just gave it another purpose.)Levellass wrote:There are programs for color reduction, I have a particularly good one.
Will you be posting this info to the modding wiki for later use by others?

Ehhhh...
It may be possible, but I doubt that anyone could edit the game series that the extractor was meant for:
Myst (This one could be edited, with Hypercard format knowledge.)
Riven (You're pushing it, but it could be done.)
Myst III: Exile (Requires too much technical knowledge.)
Myst IV: Revelation (Even worse.)
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst/Complete Chronicles (This one IS possible, but takes a long time, and it already has a base of world makers.)
Myst V (Maybe, but has a new version of Uru's game engine with higher complexity, also incompatible with Uru without special modification.)
