(Although the volumes for a lot of them are very disproportionate, but that's a given with most Vorticon mods, due to the loud, grating sound effects. I found myself turning off PC speaker sounds.)
Possibly just adjust the volume of your IMF files to suit?

I am unfamiliar with the .IMF format on a technical level, like tweaking/adjusting them and whatnot. The conversions suffered quite a bit from my original vision, as they tend to do in the conversion process, and thus I almost didn't even fulfill my musical obligations for this project.

Well if you have functional MIDI files you may want to check out Mid2imf which has a volume option when converting (From 0 to 255) that I find works well. Specifically its command line options include:
/dumptimbre dumps the included timbre file and quits
/info lists the names of the MIDI tracks and quits
/imf=<file> saves the converted data to <file> (default: <midifile>.imf)
/rate=<x> sets the IMF rate to <x> (default: 560)
/volume=<x> sets volume to <x> (default: 255)
/allvoices don't reserve voice 0 for AdLib sound effects
/nosilence removes silence at the beginning of the song
/chunk saves an AUDIOT chunk instead of a plain IMF file
/truncate truncates IMF data if it's too large
(automatically set if /chunk or /maxsize used)
/maxsize=<x> sets maximum IMF size (default: 65532)
/exclude=<x> disables MIDI track <x>; can be set multiple times
/keepdummy keep instructions that get overwritten in the same cycle
/keepredundant keep instructions that write the same value that's already in
the AdLib register
/keepall combination of /keepdummy and /keepredundant
/timbre=<file> uses timbres from <file> instead of included timbres
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.

Mid2IMF you say? I've never heard of such a program.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that, surprisingly, no additional credits were added to this mod.

I understand you do not wish to strip credit away from the original author, but maybe a footnote in the practically empty endtext.ck1 and previews.ck1 files, or even an additional readme file would be nice.

As someone else once said, modding is a pretty thankless job, but sometimes seeing our little name thrown around here and there is a good pat on the back. :)

Just something to keep in mind if you ever update this download.

Yeah you're quite right about the credits thingy, I wanted to have this ready for keenday, so the release itself was kind of in a rush. So this release will be enlarged anyway. (what with the level pack not being in there yet)
