Keen 10: Mirror Menace - re-release

Aaaand, ladies and gentlemen! I've finally finished the re-release version of Keen 10.

This version contains improvements, many changes and bug fixes. Let's see the changes:

- the help menu has slightly been reorganized and updated
- "PRESS F1 FOR HELP DURING THE GAME" sign has been added to the bottom of the main menu
- when you reload your saved boss level, the game no longer crashes
- after talking to Keen's friends and then going to the main menu + then going back to the game again the game no longer crashes
- the loading screen has been updated
- the final screen has been updated + Keen 7-9 is mentioned there
- the boss level is now Level 17
- Level 10 is no longer called "The Swamp", but Pure Lake
- all the portraits have been placed to the corner of the chat window and corrected
- Martinez has now hair on his portrait
- the frames have been removed around the portraits
- new high score box
- on the worldmap you can see Keen's eyes
- two new point items: Waffel Cake and Apricot Yogurt
- after dying + then reloading the game you are no longer in god mode
- some level entry graphics and texts have been edited
- no secret level in the game due to teleport problems (really sorry for that)
- there are only 2 teleports on the worldmap
- Keen 10 poster is included in the zip file (ok, not the best, but be glad)
- *Level 18 is High Scores/Space Abyss
- the high scores level has been edited
- demos have been re-recorded
- the exit of the Zenuxian Ringdom is now at the bottom of the level + new platform here
- the blue robot has been recoloured to red
- you no longer have game over when shooting Martinez
- you no longer die when touch the boss
- all the cannons have been removed in the boss level
- on the worldmap - when completing the levels Keen's friends are in - the sprites of Keen's friends appear in Keen 4-6 style infront of the Bean-With-Bacon Megarocket in order


and many other changes...



*Level 19 was planned to be the Space Abyss, but since the extra level patch didn't work for some odd reason, that's why Levellass invented a new patch that allows Keen to appear in a different place besides the High Scores level. It means the Space Abyss level lies under the High Scores level separatedly, but the level entry text is not "High Scores", but Space Abyss.
BUT: If you warp to Level 18 from the Bean With Bacon level, you will be warped to the High Score part of the level, if you exit to the worldmap from the BWB level + you warp to Level 18 from the worldmap, you will be warped to the Space Abyss part of the level.



P.S. Since Keen 10 is released on october 1st (October is the 10th month, here it's Keen episode 10) it should be a reference if you get what I mean.



EDIT: the gamemap files have been updated in the zip file as I realized you can get stuck on the worldmap near the Zenuxian Ringdom level.

Nice improvements! I should try to play this mod again for all the work you've put into it.

One thing: I notice you're still using TOM. I personally believe that Abiathar has features that would be very useful for you with this mod. If there is anything specific that is stopping you from using Abiathar, please tell me so that I can improve it for everyone. If not, then I encourage you to give it a try - I think you'll like it a lot. :)

Mostly that's me, I only moved from TED5 two years ago and this mod got locked into TOM due to a curious bit of patching. Don't worry, nobody uses my stuff either, you get used to it.

Loading graphics from EGA with the normal Keen 6 settings works for me. This is the super-secret v2.2 beta with integrated audio support (:O), but nothing in the level/graphics/tileinfo load changed from public v2.1.

I did notice this, which is a little strange:

Soon go to the teleporter, after completing all other levels, the game freezes everything so.

And this is why I really want that 'stop crashing' help with MTM. Haven't got much but then people would rather complain then actually DO anything around here...

I do not understand what you mean by that.
Do you mean that it is right that the game locks?
