I never know what genre of music to pick as my favorite. Simply because I love music of all kinds. My playlists are all jumbled up with so many different types of music; rock, jazz, soundtrack, disco.. that there may be no chance of determining on what I like best. But I took a guess and said Pop.

I'm a big fan of good game soundtracks. Ah, Chrono Trigger. You can listen to that sountrack for-freakin-EVER and not get sick of it.

Soundtrack isn't really a genre. Soundtracks could be techno, orchestration, rock... they could also just be a compilation of a bunch of pop songs.

While I'm at it, Christian isn't a genre either, it's just a lyrical subject.
And J-pop/J-Rock isn't really a genre, otherwise we'd have to classify everything by country. Although Japanese bands do tend to have a very different style than most western bands, but not always.

(Sometimes, though, I like to be very specific with genres, like "Finnish symphonic power metal")

EDIT: Also, to be fair, this poll is titled "Favorite Music," not "Favorite Genre," so my argument doesn't really apply...

I can see nobody seems to like blues here, I was thinking about giving that one vote, but ended up giving Jazz one.
I don't think a your favourite music poll can be satisfactory with only one vote. Also most of the genres aren't very clear (yep, soundtrack is a good example).
If I'd put my music collection into defined genres I'd say:
- 60s garage and psych pop
- Soul jazz
- Northern soul
- New orleans funk
and maybe a bit of Exotica/Space age pop.
