As a reminder again, we are using Commander Keen 4 stuff for this big easter-egg, so let's see what's left from today (read reply date in case for future comparison):

I ought to say Nisaba you did great work on these sprites Image

But to be honest i though the Sprites needed to have 8 angles like in Doom:

So that it is not 8, but 4 is a relief...

Which is also what Duplication i see in the folder is showing is reflecting
But.... erm... I've got no Enigma coding machine, So i don't know what any of those Numbers mean...

You are right regarding the Doom technique. But we are only using 4 directions for this mod to avoid too much work and complexity. If Someone (or even Nisaba) is willed to do additional 4 directions, we are mor than happy about it, but for now, the 4-directional variant works.

As I have said: North and South are additional, East and West are from the regular Keen game and the Northeast/west and Southeast/west variants are used from the East and West ones.

@Nisaba - If Virgilio's last post is too complicated for you, here is an explanation of what the numbers mean:
  • SPRT A 1 - SPRT is the sprite prefix, A the animation frame and 1 the direction, in this case "South" (facing the player)
  • SPRT A 5 - the number 5 is "North" (facing away from the player)
  • SPRT A 2 - the number 2 is "South West" (facing the player, direction left)
  • SPRT A 3 - the number 2 is "West" (facing the left direction)
  • The sprite names A4 to A8 are clockwisely arranged, where A8 is direction right towards the player
  • SPRT A 2 A 8 - this variant means that 2 is facing "South West" and the same sprite is being mirrored facing "South East"
  • SPRT A 8 A 2 - this variant is the same as above, just vice versa
  • SPRT A 0 - if a 0 is used, it means that the object has no directional sprites at all, works good for columns, round objects that look the same from each angle.
